Day 6 Thu Dec 1. Apollo Bay

Take it easy …..

Couple of early showers encouraged me to sleep in even a little more. SO nice not to have to do the dawn wakeup. Leisurely breakfast and was at the was stations when dish washing turned to clothes washing at 9am. Withe the one essential task for the day taken care of wandered downtown for a coffee and a leisurely stroll back along the beach and rock platforms.

Had vague notions of returning to town for lunch, but a new local food van had arrived on camp yesterday, and their offer of flathead and chips with only a short walk and a short wait was too good to pass up. Yum.

Did very little else as the weather improved and our clothes dried. Tough gig. Quite nice beef brisket for dinner. Complete confusion about exactly WHAT the road closure conditions are for tomorrow. Oh well. Wandered across the road to the beach to watch the sun going down. My 6th GVBR rest day here – it really is the perfect spot.
