Day 3 – Euroa – Murchison. 73 km, flat.

Still very windy early but not too bad once out on the road. Rode in just about every direction, and with the wind behind it was pretty easy going. A rather pointless detour into Longwood for a rest break – nothing like yesterday’s raisin toast.

Much flatter day today and managed to crank it up heading toward Murchison and lunch.  Stopped in Murchison for coffee, then another detour to Longleat winery for lunch then back to town and on to camp.

After setting up went back into town and found one of the classic great ride afternoon spreads – Apple crumble with a big pile of cream washed down with a local sauv blanc.  Lots of other deserts to choose from – Carey would have loved it.

Overcast right through till almost dusk when treated to a short lived but pretty spectacular sunset.  Once again the amount of rain and flooding has tomorrow’s campsite in doubt.
